Feathered Friends, Tues Pre

For bird day we crafted bird masks, donned our "binoculars" and flew off into the woods!

We had a great time reading about birds, keeping an eye and an ear out for our feathered friends in the woods, and writing about them in our journals!
Of course there were also lots of bird songs to sing, and then some power beads to gather up as well. Here is where I finally mention that "power beads" (actually pellets from toy guns older kids play with in these woods) not only give FH "powers" but also keep these little plastic items from birds and other creatures that might eat them. So, I'm happy to report that these preschoolers are powered up and helping their feathered friends too!
